As mentioned elsewhere you won't know which concert you'll be seeing today until you tune in. It may be Armagh brothers Niall and Caoimhín Vallely with Karan Casey or then again it may not.

 

Brothers Niall and Caoimhin Vallely hail from Armagh City but are long term residents of Cork, drawn to the UCC Music Department as teenagers. They are both members of the ground-breaking group Buille, with whom they have recorded three albums, and individually were founder members of seminal Cork bands Nomos and North Cregg. Each has forged a unique voice on their respective instrument - concertina and piano - whilst also contributing much new music and concepts to the genre.

Karan Casey has long been one of the most innovative, provocative and imitated voices in Irish traditional and folk music. Her career has spanned twenty-five years from the early days as a jazz performer in George’s Bistro in Dublin to her heady days in New York with the band Solas to her now well established solo career.
