Jeri Foreman & Ruth Eliza are a fiddle and banjo duo drawing on old-time American Appalachian music and offering new original material to the genre.

Their debut album, A Little Wilderness, was released in October 2024 on Scribe Records. Having been regulars on the UK bluegrass and old-time circuit for many years, Jeri Foreman & Ruth Eliza made their official debut as a duo at the largest old-time festival in Europe, the Gainsborough Old-Time Music and Dance Festival (England) in February 2023. Drawing on a wealth of stage experience in other acts, Jeri (The Fountaineers) and Ruth (Blue Lass) have represented old-time at folk and bluegrass festivals across the UK, including Fire in the Mountain (Wales), Gower Bluegrass Festival (Wales) and Moniaive Bluegrass Festival (Scotland).

2024 has seen them play the prestigious Celtic Connections (Scotland), Sweet Sunny South (England), Hexham Bluegrass Festival (England), plus a German tour and the French old-time and bluegrass festival Herbe Bleue. In February of 2024 they did a joint tour in England with their fiddle and banjo kin Old Spot and the four recorded a mini album in one night - The One Night Stringband. Their shows are known for hypnotic and powerful delivery of tunes and songs from the old-time canon, and originals in the traditional style.

"powerful, driving fiddle and banjo tunes"  - Song Lines

Jeri and Ruth bring a whole new energy to the classic fiddle and banjo combination and we're delighted to present their first ever Irish show.
